✍️ Answer. Maria sharapova was a Siberian girl. She reached the world she number one position in women's tennis. She had not yet celebrated her tenth birthday when with her father Yuri left for the United States where she had to train herself in tennis.

This trip to Florida with her father launched her on the path of success and stardom. She had left her mother back to Siberia so she had to live without her.
