👉 Question (1) Where was the statue of the happy prince situated ?

प्रसन्नचित राजकुमार की मूर्ति कहाँ स्थित थी ? 

✍️ Answer. The statue of the happy prince was situated on a tall column-high above the city. 

👉 Question (2) How was the statue ? Write in your own words.

✍️ Answer. The statue of the happy prince was all golden gilded all over with thin leaves of gold. In place of eyes there were two bright sapphires. He had a sword. A large glowing red ruby was set to its hilt. 

👉 Question (3) Did the prince know what tears were, when he saw alive ?

जब राजकुमार जीवित था, तब क्या उसे मालुम था कि आंसू क्या होते हैं ? 

✍️ Answer. No, The happy prince who lived comfortably in a place did not know what tears were, when he was alive. 

👉 Question (4) What did the prince see in the seamstress's room ?

दर्जिन के कमरे में राजकुमार ने क्या देखा ?

✍️ Answer. The happy prince saw that the seamstress with thin and worn face, coars, red hands, all pricked by the needle was sitting at a table. She was embroidering flowers on a gown. Her son was ill, and lying in a bed. He was asking his mother oranges. 

👉 Question (5) How did the happy prince help the seamstress ? 

प्रसन्नचित राजकुमार ने दर्जिन की सहायता किस प्रकार की ? 

✍️ Answer. The happy prince requested the swallow to take the sapphire from the sword hilt, and to take it to the poor seamstress. He, thus, helped the seamstress.

रात बहुत ठंढी थी, लेकिन पक्षी को गर्मी का अहसास हुआ | क्यों ?

✍️ Answer. Although it was a cold night, the swallow felt warm because he had done a good action of helping the seamstress and her boy. 

👉 Question (7) Why could the man in the garret not complete his play ?

अटारी का आदमी अपना नाटक क्यों पूरा नहीं कर सकता था ? 

✍️ Answer. It was extremely cold, and there was no fire in the grate. So the young man was too cold to complete his play. Moreover, he was extremely hungry. 

👉 Question (8) How was the man in the garret helped and by whom ?

किस प्रकार अटारी के आदमी की सहायता की गई तथा किसके द्वारा ?

✍️ Answer. The man in the garret was helped by the happy prince through the swallow. He ordered the swallow to pluck out a sapphire from one of his eyes and take it to the playwright, which the swallow unwillingly did.

👉 Question (9) Why was the little matchgirl crying ?

छोटी माचिस वाली लड़की क्यों चिल्ला रही थी ?

✍️ Answer. The little matchgirl had let her matches fall in the gutter, and they were all spoiled. She could not take home any money, and father would beat her. She was, therefore, crying.

वह कैसे प्रसन्न हुई ?

✍️ Answer. At the happy prince's order the swallow plucked the sapphire from his eyes. He took it to the girl and slipped it into the palm of her hand. This made the girl happy.

✍️ Answer. The swallow told the happy prince marvellous stories. But, according to the prince, the sufferings of men and women were more marvellous. 

👉 Question (12) How did the happy prince help the poor in general ?

प्रसन्नचित राजकुमार ने सभी गरीब लोगों की सहायता कैसे की ? 

✍️ Answer. The happy prince asked the swallow to take the gold off his body- leaf by leaf-and take it to the poor. He, in this way, helped the poor in general.

अंधेरी गलियों में अबाबील ने क्या देखा ? 

✍️ Answer. In the dark lanes, the swallow saw some starving children. Their faces were white and they were looking out listlessly at the black streets.

पुल के मेहराबदार रास्ते के नीचे पक्षी ने क्या देखा ?

✍️ Answer. Under the archway of the bridge, the swallow saw two little boys lying in each other's arms to try to keep themselves warm. The watchman drove them away in to the train.

✍️ Answer. The happy prince asked him to kiss him on the lips.
